One Chamberlain Square
Birmingham
Created by
Eric Parry Architects
One Chamberlain Square in Birmingham is the regional headquarters for PwC . The curvilinear structure of the building creates a voluputous open plan space, which is, in the words of Eric Parry, 'a nose ahead in both placement and time'.
The flexible layout has been adapted for the time of Covid-19. Discussing their office back in January, PwC Midlands Region Chairman, Matthew Hammond described it as a 'workhome'; 'This is people’s workhome so the facilities and the experience should be more akin to a work home than to an office environment. A destination that is distinctive and connected’. The space's identity as a 'workhome' has only become more apparent as employees work between home and the office more flexibly.
